The Kabocha pumpkin has a tasty, nutty flavour and is perfect to use for pies. It has a beautiful dark green colour and each pumpkin weighs approximately 1.2 kg. A single plant can produce between 3-6 fruits that have a flat, round appearance with 10-15 cm in diameter. The Kabocha pumpkins can be stored for 3-4 months and thrives in a well-fertilized, well-drained soil in warm and sheltered areas. To reach its full potential, the plant should be well-watered and be given plant food during the whole growth cycle.

Direct sow when the soil is warm (+15°C). Pre-cultivation is recommended.
