Tray2Grow is a fully automated, completely power-free system that offers five ways to water your plants. The Tray2grow accommodates seed trays, small pots, grow bags (or fabric pots), microgreens trays, and classic planters, making it the most versatile product in the AutoPot range and one of the most versatile watering systems available. Equipped for every eventuality, the Tray2Grow includes optional capillary spikes that can be installed inside the tray. These spikes pierce the bottom of the grow bag (or fabric pot), allowing the substrate inside to be watered. By removing the spikes and installing the capillary spikes, the Tray2Grow can accommodate up to four standard seed trays (included), two microgreens trays, any number of perforated or organic pots, or the specially designed Autopot 107.5 L / 23.5 gal grow bag. The highly versatile Autopot Tray2Grow self-watering system is perfect for growing herbs, flowers, or vegetables outdoors on a balcony. It can also be used for indoor growing. On each side of the tray are three holes for garden stakes (e.g., bamboo poles). Using Tray2Grow – germinating seeds and microgreens in small plastic pots – is possible in traditional fabric pots or in the rectangular fabric container that comes with the grow bags. After removing the spikes and installing the drip mats, the Tray2Grow system can accommodate up to four standard seed trays (included), two microgreen trays, any number of perforated-bottom pots, or fabric pots. You can also use the large-capacity fabric planter with a frame and a capacity of 107.5 liters (32.5 gallons), which is included with the product. On each side of the container are three holes for garden stakes if you're tying your plants down. The tray is equipped with three built-in spirit levels to help ensure everything is 100% level. Combined with the wide range of Autopot Tray2Grow replacement parts, you can choose from a set of trays with capillary tips for use with grow bags or a set of capillary mats for pots, seed trays, or planters. How to assemble the Autopot Tray2Grow system: - Always ensure the surface on which you place the tray is flat and firm. Do not place the system on surfaces such as gravel or sand. - If using a grow bag, loosen the soil before placing it in the tray to loosen the substrate. - The perforated base improves aeration and drainage. - If growing outdoors, remove the overflow plug to drain excess water that may collect during rain. If heavy rain occurs, disconnect the reservoir until the rain stops and the water is used up. When growing indoors, leave the overflow plug in place. If using Tray2Grow with pots or trays, always pre-soak the capillary mat and root control material. How to use the Autopot Tray2Grow system: - Once the bag, pot, or tray is in place and planted, water it with a watering can. Allow the plants to absorb this water before turning on the system. Because grow bags usually contain some substrate nutrient, it's often best to supply clean water for a few weeks and then gradually introduce liquid fertilizers through the reservoir and tubing. Water sparingly in the early stages. Consider turning the Tray2Grow system on and off periodically to help the plants establish themselves. If using pots or seed trays, always ensure they have holes in the bottom to allow the growing medium to contact the root control mat and the mat underneath. This is essential for water and/or nutrient uptake. Learn more about the Tray2grow system in this video.
