BIOVITA Fern Potting Mix is a ready-made, proven, multi-component substrate designed for growing ferns. Its carefully selected chemical and physical composition provides favorable conditions for plant development and vegetation, maintaining the plant's beautiful greenery. The substrate is enriched with micro- and macronutrients selected specifically for ferns, which promote plant growth. The high-moor peat in the mix provides excellent water retention, a loosened substrate structure, and provides a large amount of humus, which promotes better root development. Maintain constant moisture, but avoid excessive watering. For this purpose, it's worth using a drainage layer, such as Biovita expanded clay. The best location for ferns is one with diffused light, away from full sun. In winter, stop fertilizing and reduce watering. Biovita Fern Potting Mix contains an appropriate starting dose of fertilizer, so after transplanting, the substrate does not require fertilization for approximately 3-4 weeks.
