Opis produktu

The Milwaukee MW302 is a portable, high-range conductivity (EC) meter with automatic temperature compensation. This meter is designed to meet growers' needs for equipment suited to the harsh environments found in agricultural and hydroponic applications. It is also an ideal meter for applications in the food industry, laboratories, and water treatment. EC testing provides a method for optimizing chemical applications and minimizing operating costs. In agricultural applications, soil conductivity is tested before fertilizer application to determine field needs and after fertilizer application to determine its effectiveness. In hydroponics, EC measurement is ideal for determining fertilizer concentration in a solution. Once determined, the grower can adjust the nutrient formula for optimal plant growth. The MW302 has a range of 0.0 to 10.0 mS/cm with a resolution of 0.1 mS/cm. This EC meter comes complete with a conductivity probe with a 1 m (3.3') cable and calibration solution. PRODUCT FEATURES: Range 0.0 to 10.0 mS/cm. Fast, easy-to-read results with a large digital LCD display. Supplied with a conductivity probe connected to a 3-foot cable. Accurate to ±2% FS at 25°C. Lightweight and portable. Battery life: 300 hours of continuous use (with battery). SE520 conductivity probe (included). MI0031B, 1413 µS/cm calibration solution (included). OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: - This meter is compatible with a 9V battery. Slide the cover on the back of the meter and insert the batteries with the correct polarity. - Connect the probe to the meter, aligning the plug terminals. - Be sure the meter has been properly calibrated before taking any measurement. (see "calibration procedure") - Immerse the tip of the EC probe (approx. 4 cm) in the solution. If possible, use a plastic container to minimize EMC interference. - Turn the instrument ON using the ON/OFF button. - Wait for the temperature sensor to reach thermal equilibrium before taking a measurement. - After taking a measurement, turn the instrument OFF. The probe should be cleaned and allowed to dry thoroughly. Alcohol can be used for easier cleaning. CALIBRATION PROCEDURE: NOTE: Always refer to the calibration table on the calibration solution packaging. - Clean the probe with alcohol and allow it to dry. - Open the container with the calibration solution (see "specifications") and immerse the probe, ensuring that the metal tips are completely immersed. - Wait until thermal equilibrium is reached and the reading is stable. - Adjust the calibration knob on the back of the device using a screwdriver until the value of 1.4 mS/cm = 1400uS/cm is displayed (unless the table on the calibration fluid specifies otherwise). - At this point, calibration is complete; the device is ready for use. - It is recommended to recalibrate the device once a month and whenever the battery or probe is replaced. BATTERY REPLACEMENT: When the batteries are low, the device will display "V." When the low battery indicator appears, it means there are approximately 50 hours of operation remaining. Weak batteries can cause the device to give erroneous readings. It is recommended to replace the batteries regularly. Batteries should only be replaced in a safe place. It must be a 9V battery. Turn off the device, slide the cover off, and replace the 9V battery with a new one. Make sure the battery is inserted with the correct polarity, then close the cover again.
