Connect the hose (internal diameter 4mm) to the pump outlet, place the air hose in the container with the air stone, and then begin operation. 2. Place the air pump above the water level on a flat surface or connect a check valve between the air hose a few inches from the air pump to ensure water does not flow back into the air pump. 3. Use the knob on the back of the pump to adjust the output.
