Buffer with a pH value of 4.01. Tolerance range: ±0.01 pH. No discoloration; does not contaminate the electrode. Prepare the solution in a glass or neutral plastic container. Shelf life after reconstitution: 1 month. Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight. Economical, for repeated use, buffer capacity: 250 ml. The back of the sachet features a table correcting the buffer value depending on temperature. Directions for use: Pour the contents of the sachet into 250 ml of demineralized water (at 25°C), stir with a plastic spoon, and wait for the powder to completely dissolve. Then, calibrate the meter according to the instructions using a solution with a specific pH. The pH meter should be calibrated with a buffer that most closely matches the expected pH of the solutions you typically measure. For example, if you typically measure acidic solutions, calibrate the meter with a pH 4.01 buffer; if alkaline solutions, purchase a buffer with a higher pH. To maintain accurate measurements, every pH meter should be periodically calibrated. Calibration should begin with acidic solutions and continue with alkaline solutions.
